KENSUKE'S KINGDOM

Michael's family goes on a cruise around the world. An accident during a storm brings the boy and his beloved dog Stella to an island that seems to be uninhabited. However, it turns out that they are not alone here and someone will help them survive. 

Michael's encounter with the mysterious Japanese man Kensuke becomes an extraordinary lesson in empathy, relationship building and respect for nature. Together they will face danger to defend the paradise island from poachers who hit it in search of profit. 

KENSUKE'S KINGDOM is a heartwarming and sensational animated adaptation of the classic novel by Michael Morpurgo. The original dubbing featured Cillian Murphy and Sally Hawkins, among others. In 2024, the film triumphed at the British Animation Awards, winning no fewer than three awards, including the most important one for the best-animated film. In addition, it received a distinction for best music and screenplay by Frank Cottrell-Boyce. The film was also in the prestigious Annecy Animation Film Festival competition in 2023.
